Overview
Specialist Physiotherapist - Vascular Surgery opportunity within the Vascular Surgery Therapy Team. The post holder will work as part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team to provide specialist care and management of vascular patients at the Manchester Vascular Centre, including patients who have undergone amputations, aneurysm repairs and revascularisation surgery. The role involves planning, coordinating, delivering and evaluating the service, and contributing to service development and clinical governance.
You should have relevant Band 6/7 clinical and developmental experience and be actively involved in service development, supporting senior clinical leads and supervising clinical staff and students. There is a support network for all staff including clinical supervision, with continued CPD encouraged through MDT IST, senior development, peer support and postgraduate opportunities. The inpatient service operates 7 days a week and the post holder is expected to participate in delivery and on-call rotas.

Responsibilities
* Carry an independent caseload of vascular patients and deliver a high-quality, comprehensive service in accordance with acute vascular care needs.
* Provide specialist physiotherapy input within a forward-thinking MDT, planning, coordinating, delivering and evaluating the vascular service.
* Support the Clinical Lead Specialist Physiotherapist in service and team development and supervise junior staff and students.
* Participate in clinical governance activities, quality improvement, and CPD to enhance clinical practice and patient outcomes.
* Deliver inpatient vascular care across a 7-day service and contribute to the on-call rota as required.
* Demonstrate excellent clinical reasoning and effective communication to negotiate pathways in challenging situations.
* Engage with the MDT strategy and contribute to a holistic approach to patient care.
Qualifications
* Relevant Band 6/7 clinical and development experience.
* Ability to supervise clinical staff and students and provide mentorship.
* Excellent clinical reasoning and communication skills.
* Commitment to continued CPD and participation in MDT and postgraduate development opportunities.
