Location: Swansea University
Hours Per Week: Monday - Friday, 40 Hours
Job Type: Permanent / Full Time
The Multi Skilled Building Fabric Engineer will:
1. Work as part of the Graham Facilities Management Team, playing a key role in planning and completing a range of works, with main responsibility for planned, reactive, and remedial repairs related to fire door systems and fire compartmentation.
2. Plan and execute a variety of tasks mainly associated with joinery, but also including tiling, drainage, minor roof repairs, finishes, plastering, flooring, and other minor building fabric repairs, depending on relevant experience.
3. Provide exceptional maintenance services to high-profile clients, ensuring high quality standards in all performance areas.
4. Use initiative to solve technical problems related to reactive maintenance, including sourcing parts and seeking manufacturer support.
5. Provide detailed reports of work carried out to keep clients informed.
6. Complete all work within agreed timescales, complying with current regulations and contract specifications.
7. Maintain accurate records, including operation and maintenance logs, to minimize risks.
8. Utilize PDAs or electronic devices to complete work documentation.
9. Coordinate with the Helpdesk for efficient response to work requests, working independently or as part of a team.
10. Adhere to health and safety protocols, conducting risk assessments for each task.
11. Maintain professionalism when dealing with clients daily.
12. Provide call-out response across all contracts.
