Job Description
Job Purpose
We are seeking a Curriculum, Teaching & Training Lead to take responsibility for the quality of education across DISC. This role will lead curriculum development, teaching and learning, and achievement, ensuring that provision is ambitious, inclusive and aligned to EHCP and Preparing for Adulthood outcomes.
This is a key leadership role supporting the delivery of the College Improvement Plan and Ofsted readiness. The postholder will play a central role in ensuring that DISC can demonstrate high-quality teaching, strong learner progress and clear impact across all areas of provision.
This is a full-time leadership role with no teaching timetable, enabling dedicated focus on curriculum quality, quality assurance and improvement.

Key Responsibilities
Curriculum & Quality of Education
* Lead curriculum design, sequencing and development across pathways
* Ensure curriculum aligns to EHCP outcomes and Preparing for Adulthood
* Embed high expectations, stretch and challenge across provision
* Ensure curriculum intent, implementation and impact are clearly articulated and evidenced
Teaching, Learning & Assessment
* Lead and monitor teaching quality across the college
* Deliver and coordinate CPD for staff
* Support staff to improve practice through coaching and feedback
* Ensure consistent and effective teaching, learning and assessment approaches
Quality Assurance
* Lead QA processes including observations, learning walks and deep dives
* Monitor and evaluate the impact of teaching and learning
* Ensure a robust and consistent QA cycle is embedded
* Use data and evidence to identify strengths and areas for development
Achievement & Outcomes
* Track intern progress, achievement and destinations
* Ensure consistent and accurate assessment practice
* Analyse cohort and individual data to inform improvement
* Support staff to improve outcomes for interns
Leadership & Line Management
* Line manage teaching staff
* Support staff development and performance
* Contribute to wider leadership and improvement planning
* Support delivery of the College Improvement Plan
