The Role
You will be responsible for developing, improving, and supporting CNC sliding head machining processes, ensuring high levels of precision, efficiency, and repeatability across aerospace component production.
Key Responsibilities
* Programming and optimising Star Sliding Head Lathes
* Creating and refining manufacturing processes for complex aerospace components
* Improving cycle times, tooling strategies, and machining efficiency
* Troubleshooting machining issues and supporting operators on the shop floor
* Working closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to maintain high standards
About You
* Proven experience with Star Sliding Head Lathes
* Skilled in Partmaker SwissCam programming
* Background in precision engineering, ideally aerospace or similar sectors
* Strong problem‑solving ability and a continuous‑improvement mindset
* Confident working independently on a day shift within a collaborative team
