My client is seeking an experienced Administrator to support the Young People’s Substance Misuse Service, based at Woburn Court in a partnership building with Cambridgeshire Community Services (CCS). This is a job share, office-based role within a friendly and committed team who are passionate about improving outcomes for young people.

Role: Administrator
Contract: Temporary until August 2026
Hours: Job Share – Wednesday, Thursday & Friday (between 9am–5pm – hours negotiable)
Location: Bedford, MK42
Working Pattern: Office based
Pay Rate: £13.00 PAYE
Compliance: Basic DBS required
Parking: Free on-road parking outside the building
Travel: Some travel required depending on service needs and meeting locations
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the first point of contact for young people, professionals and visitors, handling telephone, email and face-to-face enquiries professionally and sensitively.
* Provide a welcoming and supportive front-line service, signposting to appropriate staff and partner agencies when required.
* Maintain accurate electronic and manual records, ensuring high standards of data quality and confidentiality.
* Manage appointment systems, referrals and client information using service databases (CarePath desirable).
* Support service delivery through coordination of room bookings, meetings and preparation of documentation.
* Take minutes at meetings and support team communications when required.
* Assist with the collection and reporting of service performance data and quality standards.
* Work independently and confidently within the office environment while the wider team is outreach-based.
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with key CCS administrative staff and partner organisations.
* Work in line with safeguarding, data protection and organisational policies at all times.

Essential & Desirable Experience
* Previous experience in a customer-facing administrative role.
* Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
* Excellent data entry and record-keeping skills.
* Confidence working with vulnerable client groups (young people’s services desirable).
* Experience using CarePath or similar client databases (desirable).
