A well-established, design-led planning and architectural studio near Ashford is seeking talented and motivated Town Planners at all levels - from recent graduates to experienced associate planners. You'll work on a broad mix of projects including bespoke rural homes, residential developments, heritage sites, and complex planning applications throughout Kent and beyond. This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative team that values creativity, technical excellence, and a personalised approach to planning.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing and managing planning applications and appeals
* Conducting site appraisals, policy research, and feasibility assessments
* Liaising with clients, consultants, and local planning authorities
* Supporting or leading on Local Plan representations, pre-application advice, and stakeholder engagement
* Working closely with the in-house technical design team on a wide variety of projects
About You
* A degree in Town Planning or a related subject (RTPI-accredited preferred)
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Understanding of UK planning policy and development control
* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
* A full UK driving licence is desirable due to site-based work
Associate-level Applicants
* Several years\' experience in planning consultancy or local authority
* Strong project leadership and client management skills
* RTPI membership or eligibility for chartership
