The Position
We have the opportunity for a Specialist Teacher to join our Maidstone team on a part time (0.6FTE), permanent basis.
The Specialist Learning Support Teacher will be responsible for liaising and assisting the class teacher to dual plan and collaboratively prepare inclusive lessons for the individual student. To assess and monitor pupil progress and plan next steps for our children on the SEND register; more specifically those with EHCPs including a child with Down Syndrome.

Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will have experience of working with children at Key Stage 1-5, experience of working with children with Downs Syndrome and be fluent in Makaton. You must have Qualified Teacher Status and a degree or similar qualifications. You will need to be comfortable stepping away from traditional classroom teaching practices, to embrace modern teaching methods and technologies including video conferencing and online resources.
