We are searching for fully qualified, Light Vehicle Mechanics to work for a popular and well-known organisation in Manchester, United Kingdom.
Due to severe manpower shortages in many of their Lancashire Depots a country-wide recruitment trawl has now been initiated.
These are permanent employment positions with an attractive salary.

The role
•Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on light vehicles in accordance with manufacturer and company standards
•Perform fault diagnosis using modern equipment and software
•Complete MOT preparation, inspections, and rectification work as required
•Identify and report additional repair requirements accurately and promptly
•Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
•Maintain accurate service records and job documentation
•Adhere to health and safety regulations, including correct use of tools and PPE
•Support depot operations by meeting productivity and quality targets
•Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to ensure vehicle availability and reliability
•Keep all working areas clean and tidy
Requirements
•Fully qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic (e.g., NVQ Level 3, IMI, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
•Proven experience working as a vehicle mechanic/technician on light vehicles
•Competent in vehicle servicing, repairs, and fault diagnostics
•Ability to use modern diagnostic equipment and workshop tools
•Strong understanding of health and safety procedures within a workshop environment
•Full UK driving licence (essential)
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team
•Good attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality workmanship
•Reliable, punctual, and professional approach to work
•Willingness to work overtime when required to meet operational demands
