The role
Here at DLA Piper, we have an exciting opportunity for a Planning Analytics Reporting Analyst working across both the Finance Systems and Management Information teams. This role is a hybrid role that will aid the support and maintenance of IBM Cognos TM1/PA solution and undertaking some Reporting analyst duties with the Management Information team.
This is a great opportunity to develop your reporting writing, analytical skills as you work towards becoming a subject matter expert with Cognos TM1/PA solutions and Insight.
As well as working with the wider reporting teams, there will be great opportunities to be involved in future technologies the finance function is implementing.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Support the delivery, development and maintenance of IBM Cognos TM1/PA solutions.
* Support the provision of accurate and timely management information.
* Administer user permissions and system security settings – in TM1/Planning Analytics solutions
* Work in partnership with cross functional teams and 3rd party suppliers on issue resolution, product enhancements and best practice.
* Support the internal Subject Matter Expert (SME)/Planning Analytics Developer in supporting the budgeting and forecasting processes.
* Provide testing support for all reporting & budgeting projects, including TM1 / Insight / RAF / Service Now Reporting processes.
* Maintenance of reports within TM1 / PA solutions, including amendment and new report creation
ABOUT YOU
Required:
* Development/improvement of planning and analytics solution
* Experience working with Dimensional Data with an Analytical mindset.
* Good understanding of financial concepts and reporting
* Some knowledge of financial planning functions and related processes (Forecasts & Budgets) .
* An ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
* Good time management skills and ability to take on new information.
* Eye for detail and accuracy during testing / reconciliation work
Desirable:
* Experience of Planning Analytics for Excel (PAfE) and Planning Analytics Workspace (PAW)
* Experience of designing Active Forms / Dynamics Reports
* Some experience with SQL authoring and RDBMS databases, some Knowledge of Data Warehouse, BI, OLAP, and dimensional modelling.
* Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) in Computer Science, Accounting, Finance or related business/technical field required.
* Some background of working in an accounting Function and studying towards an accounting Qualification ( (AAT, CIMA / ACCA) or equivalent
* IT Literate with Basic Excel knowledge of (VLOOKUPs, SUMIFS, etc) and an equivalent of A ‘levels in Computer Science, Accounting, Finance or related business/technical field required.
