Requirements:
Level 3 in Youth Work or a Social Care-related qualification or Level 2 with qualification with suitable work experience
Minimum 6-12 months experience of working with vulnerable young people in a formal or residential setting
Registration with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC)
Good IT skills
Willingness to undertake an Enhanced Access NI police check
Responsibilities:
As a Housing Support Worker you'll build and maintain professional working relationships with young people and their families, by providing emotional, social and practical support. You'll work as part of a fantastic, committed team to provide a high quality and person-centred care to young people and their families, ensuring the views and needs are heard and responded to by promoting communication and participation.
Supporting young people to achieve their potential.
Establishing relationships and links within the community to assist our young people and their families.
Assisting the Residential Workers to support the young people.
Contributing to care plans, support plans and risk assessments.
Carrying out 1-2-1 work with the young people to help them with cooking, budgeting and looking for jobs etc. and attending appointments with them
