We are now seeking a compassionate and motivated Theatre Support Worker to join our dedicated Operating Main Theatres scrub team. As a Theatre Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting multidisciplinary teams and ensuring the smooth running of the theatre complex, delivering safe, high‑quality care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
The Main Theatres department provides peri‑operative care to patients undergoing elective and emergency surgery across a range of specialties, including General Surgery, Breast, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Urology, Acute & Trauma, and Obstetrics. The department operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, covering acute, trauma, elective, general, gynae, and obstetric surgery.

Key Responsibilities
* Prepare theatres for surgery, ensuring equipment and instruments are ready and sterile.
* Assist in the safe transfer of patients to and from theatres.
* Provide reassurance and support to patients before, during and after procedures, adopting high professional standards and holistic behaviour.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness and infection control.
* Collaborate with nurses, anaesthetists, and surgeons to ensure efficient theatre lists.
Supporting Environment
* Communicates efficiently with all patients’ delivery services across the department and the Trust.
* Adheres to the policy and procedures set by the service and healthcare directive.
