Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our family run team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be adept at using hand and power tools for various vehicle repairs and maintenance tasks. This role requires a commitment to delivering excellent customer service while ensuring that vehicles are repaired efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
* Diagnose and repair automotive issues by interpreting schematics and technical manuals
* Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, tyres, and brake inspections
* Tracking
* Utilise hand tools and power tools for assembly, disassembly, and repair of vehicle components
* Conduct equipment repairs to ensure optimal vehicle performance
* Execute welding tasks as necessary for structural repairs
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
* Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients regarding their vehicle's needs
* Assist with heavy lifting of automotive parts and equipment as required
Experience
* Proven experience, Vehicle Technician Certificates
* Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (required)
* Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (preferred)
* UK Driving Licence (required)
* Strong understanding of mechanical systems in vehicles, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems
* Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and tools used in the automotive industry
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
* Previous experience in welding is advantageous but not essential
Hours:
* 40 hours per week Monday to Friday - day shift
