We are excited to offer a new, one‑year Practice Consultant Social Worker role within the West Place Physical Disabilities/Older People Team, based in King’s Lynn. This temporary post has been created to strengthen our management team as we continue developing and embedding Community Led Support (CLS) across West Place. This is a unique opportunity to join us at a key moment of transformation. You will work closely with the existing West Place management team to support day‑to‑day activities and champion strengths‑based, community-focused practice. One of your first major responsibilities will be to support a new, small team of agency staff brought in to assist West place in reducing their current holding list. You will provide direct line management, supervision and day‑to‑day support, coordinate the team’s work to ensure measurable progress on holding list reduction whilst embedding a positive, high‑performing team culture from the outset. Beyond this initial project, you will: Support the ongoing development and embedding of Community Led Support. Help create a confident, learning‑focused environment across the service. Strengthen relationships with local partners, voluntary groups and communities. We’re looking for someone who is: Energised by improvement and new ways of working. Experienced within adult social care, community-based support or integrated care. A strong communicator who can bring people together and drive positive change. Passionate about strengths‑based, community‑led practice. We offer a £2000 welcome payment for qualified and experienced Social Workers (grade J and above), and Practice Consultants new to Norfolk County Council. Amount to be repaid in full should you leave within two years of employment.
