We're looking for a General Foreman to join our Thames Water ast Hyde STW team based in East Hyde, Bedfordshire.
Location: East Hyde STW, Bedfordshire
Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

About the Role
Join our team at East Hyde Sewage Treatment Works on an exciting project that aims to improve the resilience and capacity of the facility to ensure it meets flow and quality consent requirements. As our General Foreman, you'll play a crucial role in supervising daily site operations, coordinating our workforce, and ensuring all work meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
What will you be responsible for?
As a General Foreman, you'll be working within the East Hyde STW team, supporting them in achieving project goals to increase the works' capacity and meet environmental requirements. Your day to day will include:
* Leading and coordinating our workforce, providing clear guidance and nurturing a collaborative team environment
* Ensuring health and safety regulations are implemented and followed, creating a safe working environment for everyone
* Managing site operations efficiently, including materials, equipment, and quality control
* Monitoring project progress and proactively solving problems that arise during construction
* Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with management and team members
What are we looking for?
This role of General Foreman is great for you if:
* You have extensive experience in construction with proven supervisory skills and a supportive leadership style
* You hold qualifications including SMSTS and CSCS Gold/Black card, with Temporary Works Supervisor experience
* You have a comprehensive understanding of health and safety regulations and their practical application
* You're an excellent communicator who can build relationships across different teams and specialties
* You have water industry experience and understand the associated processes and challenges
