Service Engineer – Hydraulics – West Yorkshire - £30-40k + overtime + company van = £60k+ OTE
Samuel Frank is recruiting for a Service Engineer with previous experience of working on hydraulics for a successful, well-established Leeds based company.
The company is open to bringing in a time-served Engineer, looking to develop a career in service engineering or a Service Engineer with 4-5 years experience, looking for a new opportunity with an industry leading, well established employer.
Key aspects of the Service Engineer role include –
* Successful Service Engineer must have recent, demonstrable hydraulics experience
* Hydraulics qualifications would be useful – if you haven’t got them, the company will arrange for you to attend the training courses (Stages 1-3 at the National Fluid Power Centre)
* Any pipe fitting and/or welding experience would be beneficial but not essential
* Company is based in Leeds and when not travelling to site, the Service Engineer will be required on the shopfloor
* Key character traits include a good eye for detail, well organised and has a structured approach to working, works well under pressure and has a calm approach. An approach of wanting to do things the right way and delivering a high standard of work will work well for the successful Service Engineer.
* 36 hour working week, all hours worked over 36 are paid overtime which starts at x1.5
* All travelling hours to site (except your commute to the company premises) are paid
* Average schedule could be 2-3 days per week on site and 2-3 days per week on the shopfloor in Leeds
* Regularly weekly stop overs expected
* The company wants to hire a Service Engineer who they can train and help develop who is looking for long term employment
* Ford Transit Van with all required tools supplied
* Service Engineer will receive a float so never has to pay out up front for meals, expenses, hotels etc.
* Service Engineers applying must have a UK driving licence and be able to work in the UK without sponsorship
The company is easily commutable from most of West Yorkshire and is well positioned to be commutable from Leeds, Bradford and the surrounding areas including Harrogate, Guiseley, Halifax, Wakefield, Huddersfield, Dewsbury, Selby, Wetherby, Brighouse and Castleford as well as places further afield such as Sheffield, Hull, Barnsley, Rotherham, Harrogate, York or Wetherby
