About The Role
We are recruiting a Senior BD Executive to join our Business Development and Marketing Team. Joining a proactive, supportive and talented team of Business Development & Marketing professionals, this is an exciting opportunity providing business development support to our legal teams and sectors as well as support to our high-profile Bristol office. This position is based in our Bristol office but can be performed on a hybrid basis. Day to day, you’ll be successful in this role by: Supporting the firm’s growth strategy Proactively driving forward team and/or sector strategy for sustainable growth Identifying market trends, competitor activities and potential opportunities for growth Managing the delivery of team / sector plans Supporting the Bristol office with their day-to-day BD activities Responsibilities
Client Focus: Understand your teams/sector client base and pipeline; help fee earners develop existing client relationships and identify cross-selling opportunities; help identify and pursue potential target clients; help identify and develop relationships with key referrers; understand client challenges and spot opportunities for growth. Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing team to create and execute campaigns; develop marketing materials (brochures, team sheets, presentations) and assist with digital content; coordinate with press and external comms teams on content and channels; support annual submissions for L500 and Chambers. Pitches and Tenders: Assist with subject matter content for pitches and tenders; lead client relationship activity post-winning a pitch or tender where relevant. Events and Webinars: Organise internal and external BD-related events; organise sector-specific webinars from conception to delivery; research and cost relevant external events; keep teams informed about relevant events. Financial Analysis: Review finance data related to billing, clients, new matters and new clients; analyse data to spot trends, opportunities and challenges. Experience
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar business development or marketing role. Understanding of the legal sector (or broader professional services) is beneficial but not essential. Excellent organisational skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and management. Self-starter who can work in a collaborative environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build strong internal relationships Experience with growth strategies and cross-functional collaboration Ability to work with diverse teams and supporting functions Confidence to build relationships with senior lawyers and respectfully challenge when needed Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to run webinars in Teams; CRM and Vuture experience beneficial but not essential Events organisation experience Personal Attributes
