Position Summary:
The successful candidate will teach a broad DT curriculum, including Product Design, Resistant Materials, and Food Technology, from KS3 through to GCSE. Emphasis is placed on problem-solving, innovation, and the integration of modern technology such as CAD and CAM.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Deliver inspiring and engaging lessons that balance theoretical knowledge with hands-on practice

Support students in developing design portfolios and completing coursework with clear guidance

Maintain a safe and well-organised workshop environment

Encourage participation in DT-related competitions, exhibitions, and community projects

Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop cross-curricular STEM links
Candidate Profile:

Degree in Design & Technology, Engineering, Food Science, or equivalent, with QTS
*
Familiarity with industry-standard software and manufacturing techniques
*
Strong classroom management skills and a proactive, student-centred approach

Passion for promoting sustainable design and environmental awareness in teaching
