The Director will play a pivotal role in leading and growing the Value & Risk Advisory business in Edinburgh and the surrounding region. This position requires a strong leader with a proven track record in valuation, business development, and client relationship management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Business Development:
o Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the team's client base and service offerings.
o Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including investors, developers, and corporate occupiers.
o Prepare and present compelling proposals and presentations to prospective clients.
o Network actively within the industry to build JLL's brand and reputation.
* Valuation Expertise:
o Provide expert valuation advice on a wide range of commercial properties, with a focus on offices.
o Oversee the preparation of high-quality valuation reports that meet industry standards and client requirements.
o Review and analyze market data to support valuation conclusions.
o Stay abreast of current trends and developments in the property market.
* Team Leadership:
o Manage and mentor a team of valuers, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional development.
o Delegate tasks effectively and monitor team performance.
o Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
o Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
* Risk Management:
o Identify and assess potential risks associated with property investments and developments.
o Provide advice on risk mitigation strategies.
o Ensure compliance with JLL's risk management policies and procedures.
* Financial Management:
o Manage the team's budget and resources effectively.
o Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability.
o Ensure accurate and timely billing of clients.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Qualifications:
o MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or equivalent qualification is essential.
o Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, or a related field.
* Experience:
o Extensive experience in commercial property valuation, with a focus on offices.
o Proven track record in business development and client relationship management.
o Experience in leading and managing a team of professionals.
* Skills:
o Strong valuation skills and knowledge of valuation methodologies.
o Excellent communication and presentation skills.
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and valuation software.
