Are you a patient, resilient and motivated individual with a passion for supporting young people who need a different approach to learning?
We're working with a highly supportive Alternative Provision school in Kidderminster to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team. This setting supports pupils who may have been excluded from mainstream education or who require additional social, emotional or behavioural support.
The Role
* Support pupils aged 11-16 with a range of SEMH (Social, Emotional, Mental Health) needs
* Work 1:1 and in small groups to engage students in their learning
* Build positive relationships and act as a trusted adult
* Support teaching staff with behaviour management and classroom tasks
* Help create a safe, nurturing learning environment
You'll Need
* Experience working with young people with additional needs (education, youth work, care, or mentoring)
* Calm, consistent and positive approach to behaviour
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* A genuine desire to make a difference in young lives
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one)
