Workplace Transformation & Implementation Lead (Contingent up to March 2026)
We are recruiting for a Workplace Transformation & Implementation Lead to oversee the delivery of our upcoming relocation to a new office in central Manchester from existing Head Office in Wilmslow. Work is underway across a number of internal and external teams designing and delivering the functional and cultural changes required to support the relocation. As well as managing multiple workstreams, managing risks and interdependencies to enable the move to happen on time and within budget, the Workplace Transformation & Implementation Lead will be responsible for the more nuanced cultural shifts that will bring changes to the way we work together in our new office space. To ensure that cultural changes are sustainable and embedded, the role will also help to develop our approach to ensuring we collaboratively review and develop our ways of working and operating in the new office on an ongoing basis post move.
Key Responsibilities
 * Develop and own the programme plan, ensuring dependencies between workstreams are identified and managed effectively.
 * Support the Director of People Services to identify and shape the 'foundation stones' and ongoing activity to enable sustainable cultural change.
 * Coordinate workstreams to ensure there is connection between all elements of the programme. Joining up the work of different internal and external teams as required.
 * Proactively identify and actively manage risks across the breadth of the programme.
 * Manage the programme budget effectively, including preparing funding requests and reporting.
 * Lead stakeholder engagement across the business, including senior leadership.
 * Apply critical thinking and challenge to all aspects of the programme to ensure opportunities are maximised.
Experience Required
 * Management of complex, people-centric programmes that require navigation of cultural dynamics, fostering engagement, and embedding sustainable change.
 * Demonstrable track record of delivering successful workplace relocations, including the planning and execution of associated cultural change initiatives.
 * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to tailor to different audiences.
 * Proven ability to manage programmes that involve both physical infrastructure changes and the evolution of organisational behaviours and working practices to support new ways of working.
 * Experience in engaging staff and senior leadership teams to co-create new workplace cultures aligned with strategic goals.
 * Skilled in navigating change and transformation within the public sector and embedding new ways of working post-relocation.
