- Hanley, Staffordshire £90-£130 per day (DOE) Full-time / Part-time | Immediate & Ongoing Roles Simply Education is recruiting confident, adaptable Cover Supervisors to work across a variety of welcoming and supportive secondary schools in Hanley and the wider Stoke-on-Trent area .
We can offer daily supply, short-term cover, and long-term roles, depending on your availability and preferences.
This role is ideal for individuals with experience working with young people who feel confident managing a classroom and delivering pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects.
Location & School Information Secondary schools in Hanley, Staffordshire Supportive staff teams and established cover routines Mix of low-level disruption and more challenging behaviour schools Mixed KS3-KS4 groups Roles available due to staff absences, school growth and internal progression Schools vary in Ofsted rating, size and culture Start Date & Contract Details Immediate starts available April and September roles also available Daily supply, short-term and long-term opportunities Temp-to-perm options for strong candidates Full-time and part-time working patterns considered Hours & Working Pattern Monday to Friday Typical school hours: 8:15am-3:30pm Part-time / flexible working also available Salary & Pay £90-£130 per day PAYE available Pay reflects experience and responsibility levels Key Responsibilities Deliver pre-planned lessons to classes in the teacher's absence Maintain behaviour and follow school policies Support pupils with their learning where appropriate Supervise whole classes across a range of subjects Manage transitions and settle classes quickly Keep pupils on task throughout lessons Provide feedback to staff following cover sessions Uphold safeguarding at all times Requirements Experience working with young people (schools, coaching, youth work, sports, etc.) Strong behaviour management and confidence in the classroom Ability to deliver prepared work effectively Resilient, flexible and reliable approach Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) A degree or previous school experience is advantageous but not essential What Simply Education Offers CPD including Safeguarding, Behaviour Management & Cover Supervisor training Access to the GPS portal Dedicated support from Josh, Branch Manager Career development and progression opportunities Strong partnerships with secondary schools across Hanley and Staffordshire Roles matched to your experience and availability Benefits Competitive daily pay FREE CPD and ongoing development Flexible working to suit your lifestyle Temp-to-perm pathways Ongoing pastoral and professional support Refer a Friend Scheme Supply Work: Friend completes 10 full days ?
