We're looking for an experienced HVAC Team Leader / Maintenance Supervisor to oversee planned and reactive maintenance activities across a large, complex site. This role involves coordinating work, supporting engineers, ensuring safe systems of work, and maintaining high standards of service delivery.
You'll act as a key point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring all tasks are planned, delivered, and recorded accurately while driving a strong safety culture and supporting the development of your team.
Key Responsibilities
Proactively manage and respond to all client queries, providing updates and escalating issues where required.
Ensure all planned and reactive works are scheduled, delivered, and updated within the CAFM system in line with contractual requirements.
Lead stakeholder discussions to agree safe systems of work and prepare SSOW documentation in line with legislation and internal standards.
Ensure pre‑job briefs, supervision arrangements, workface inspections, quality checks, and lessons‑learned processes are completed.
Take ownership of work in progress, including progress updates, issue resolution, forecasting, escalation, and completion.
Work closely with the planning team to schedule tasks and optimise resource utilisation.
Report all incidents, accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions promptly.
Deliver regular team briefs and engage with the workforce to address issues and drive continuous improvement.
Conduct workforce audits and assurance checks on work quality and compliance.
Participate in training, development, and appraisal activities.
Coach, mentor, and support team members to help them reach their full potential.
Prepare scopes and quotations for additional reactive or project works when required.
Experience
Proven experience as a Team Leader or Supervisor within maintenance or building services.
Strong background in the maintenance, repair, and installation of fire dampers, AHUs, and ventilation systems.
Experience working on large or complex sites; exposure to secure or regulated environments is desirable.
Ability to organise workloads and coordinate multi‑discipline operational teams.
Qualifications
NVQ Level 3 in HVAC or equivalent.
IOSH Managing Safely (or willingness to obtain).
Full, clean UK driving licence.
Must be flexble working overtime and weekends
