English Teacher KS3 and KS4 SEMH Exciting Opportunity! We are seeking an exceptional English Teacher to join our dedicated team at Portland School. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a challenging yet rewarding environment, teaching GCSE English and Functional Skills to our KS3 and KS4 pupils. Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and effective English lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our SEMHD students Develop and implement tailored teaching strategies to support the academic and personal growth of each pupil Assess and monitor student progress, using formative and summative assessments to inform lesson planning and delivery Collaborate with the wider school team to ensure a consistent and holistic approach to supporting our students Qualifications and Experience: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Proven experience teaching English at the secondary level, with a strong understanding of the GCSE curriculum Demonstrable experience working with pupils with SEMHD or similar needs Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues Desirable Qualities: Passion for making a difference in the lives of young people Creativity and adaptability in lesson planning and delivery Commitment to ongoing professional development Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team Why Join Portland School?
