Service Manager – Agricultural Machinery
1. Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
2. Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (occasional weekend availability as required)

Our client, a reputable and family-run agricultural machinery dealership, is seeking an experienced and driven Service Manager to lead the service department at their Stratford-upon-Avon depot. Representing major brands such as JCB Agriculture, Amazone, McHale, Lemken, and Sumo, this is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong technical knowledge and leadership skills to join a growing and supportive business.
Key Responsibilities:
4. Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the service department, ensuring high levels of productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
5. Allocate work effectively to engineers and monitor job progress, ensuring deadlines and manufacturer standards are met.
6. Provide technical support and guidance to the engineering team as required.
7. Liaise with customers to understand their service needs, resolve issues, and deliver a professional aftersales experience.
8. Manage service schedules, job cards, warranty claims, and invoicing.
9. Monitor workshop performance metrics (labour hours, efficiency, recovery rates) and implement improvements.
10. Coordinate training and development for engineers, including manufacturer training and internal skills development.
11. Maintain health and safety compliance within the workshop and field-based operations.
12. Assist in planning and preparing for seasonal demand, shows, and demo events.
Requirements:
13. Previous experience in a Service Manager, Workshop Manager, or Lead Engineer role within the agricultural sector.
14. Strong technical understanding of agricultural or heavy machinery – ideally with experience in electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
15. Proven team leadership and people management skills.
16. Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
17. Proficient with service software, job scheduling systems, and reporting tools.
18. Full UK driving licence.
