Job Advert: Learning Support Assistant (PMLD) Position: Learning Support Assistant – Pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) Location: GU35, Bordon Start date: As soon as possible Contract: Full-time, long-term, with the opportunity to move from temporary to permanent Reports to: Class Teacher / SENCo Role Description We are working with an all through special needs school which supports learners from 4-19 Years, who are seeking a passionate, dedicated Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). You will work closely with children and young people who have complex needs, helping them engage in learning, develop independence, and reach their full potential. Roles & Responsibilities Support individual pupils and small groups with learning activities, personal care, communication, and mobility. Assist with implementing IEPs/EHCPs and embedding therapeutic programmes provided by teachers or therapists. Monitor and record pupil progress, behaviour, and welfare, contributing to reports and assessments. Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment, encouraging independence, social interaction, and positive relationships. About You Genuine passion for supporting pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties. Patient, flexible, resilient, and able to adapt to individual needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, working effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
