IBA Cashier
Adecco are recruiting to work on site with our prestigious client for a IBA Cashier
Location: Glasgow G2 7AT
Rate: £12.82
Hours: Monday - Friday
Contract Duration: 6 months
Job purpose
1. To reconcile high volume bank, create and send high volume and value payments accounts on a daily basis.
2. Investigate and resolve adjusting items to ensure the bank account is maintained within the Financial Policy Manual.
3. Communicate with payment teams regularly to discuss and provide advice on actions required to resolve accurately.
Key Accountabilites
4. Create ledgers for all bank accounts within remit and prepare bank reconciliation agreed to bank statements on a daily basis.
5. Daily audit of system cash book reports
6. Daily audit of suspense accounts
7. Analyse and resolve all outstanding/adjustment list and liaise with relevant teams to ensure clearance (GCoE/Business Areas/Branches)
8. Create & process specific outward payments whilst maintaining accurate central logs.
9. Seek appropriate approval from designated bank mandate signatories.
10. Familiarity with all processes required to liaise with company bank to ensure efficient operation.
11. Accurate record keeping of bank stationery related to all bank accounts managed within remit.
12. Liaise with key business area contacts to ensure communication channels are open & effective.
13. Liaise with counterpart in GSC for all cash posting and ensure is up to date for month end.
14. Month End recs are prepared within agreed deadlines for further review and approval inclusive of full reconciliation process.
15. Highlight all issues with Team Leader.
16. Deal with Internal/External auditors as and when required.
Person Specification
Qualifications
17. Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent.
Technical Knowledge
18. MS Office Proficiency
Experience
19. Previous experience working in Financial Services management, insurance preferable.
20. Previous banking experience preferable, specifically with manual reconciliations
21. Excellent communication skills
22. Good understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
23. Ability to work to strict deadlines
