Teaching Assistant (SEN Support)

About the School

Staff work collaboratively to ensure each pupil receives the support they need to make meaningful progress, both academically and socially.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
• Assist in the delivery of tailored learning plans
• Support children with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
• Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to monitor progress
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Has proven experience working with children with SEN, ideally in a similar setting
• Demonstrates patience, empathy, and resilience
• Is confident supporting children with additional behavioural or communication needs
• Works well as part of a team and can use initiative
• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Desirable Qualifications & Training

Any of the the following training would be highly advantageous:

• PRICE (Protecting Rights in a Caring Environment)
• Team Teach
• Studio 3

However, further training and development opportunities will be provided for the right candidate.
