Job Description

About Us: Johnson Care Ltd has been successfully running Residential Care Homes within Essex and Leicestershire since 1985. The foundation of this company is built on providing a safe and homely atmosphere where residents have the ability to live their lives in a nourishing and supportive environment which promotes their independence.

Responsibilities:

Financial management:

* Financial statement: Create balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements to reflect the Company's financial health.
* Budgeting and forecasting: They develop budgets and financial forecasts to guide the company's financial planning.

Compliance and reporting:

* Tax compliance: Ensure that the company complies with tax laws and regulations, preparing necessary tax returns and filings.
* Auditing: Conduct internal audits to verify the accuracy of financial records and ensure compliance with legal standards.

Financial analysis:

* Analyse financial data: Evaluate financial data to assess profitability, risk and cash flow, providing insights for decision-making.
* Identify trends: Analyse historical data to identify trends and make recommendations for improving financial performance.

Advisory role:

* Financial advice: Offer strategic advice on financial matters, helping management make informed decisions regarding investments and expenditures.
* Risk management: Assess financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the company's financial stability.

Operational support:

* Managing payroll: Handle payroll, processing, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
* Maintaining financial records: Oversee the maintenance of accurate financial records, using accounting software to streamline processes.

Qualifications/Experience:

* Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 10 years experience working within an Accountant role.

Skills/Knowledge

* Excellent written non-verbal and verbal communication skills including grammar and punctuation
* Advanced level or higher in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
* Advanced knowledge of Excel Marcos and SQL queries
* Reliable and punctual
* Able to adapt to change
* Willing to learn
* Flexible
* Positive attitude
* Self-motivator
* Able to meet set deadlines
* Flexible approach to working hours
* Ability to promote a professional image for the company at all times
* Ability to travel to other locations where needed for training / support

This role will be based at out of Head Office Monday - Friday.
