About the Role: We are currently recruiting a Senior Project Management Engineer to deliver the client-side services in the Water Sector in Ireland. The Senior Project Management Engineer will be required to manage Drainage Area Plan projects (DAPs). They will be responsible to actively monitor, chase information where required and resolve issues impacting the project management metrics, time, cost, quality and health and safety. They would also be assisting with the project risk assessments and actively mediating to ensure the above project management metrics are not impacted. The SPME will be required to coordinate and liaise with the DAP Programme Manager on a regular basis for guidance in the delivery of the role and also to align with the overall DAP Programme requirements. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee and monitor the delivery of the project around the schedule, interface, cost, variations, contract, and risk, liaising with the relevant team members and functions as required. Maintenance of project records in line with the programme project folder structure ensuring project data is up to date, easily navigated and accurate on each of the allocated project and programme folder. Report monthly on the tasks throughout the project’s lifecycle including construction works (during the construction phase) that have been undertaken. Wholly participate in regular programme manager meetings/calls. Assist with the development of programme level risk register to identify, prioritise and mitigate key risks with implementation of those mitigation measures to minimise risk on the programme delivery success. Gain records of monthly construction activity manhours works on allocated projects and promptly update within required timelines on the safety management system. Actively close out project construction activity safety inspection actions as identified by categorisation of severity with close out within required timelines. Investigate and report any incidents or accidents on allocated projects for resolution and ensuring non-reoccurrence in line with the HSQE SOPs. Identify opportunities to improve project management procedures, templates, and products referring ideas to the appropriate line manager. Key Requirements: Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering (or related discipline). Minimum of 10 years’ experience in project management and/or resident engineering with a background in water or wastewater treatment infrastructure projects. Experience in drainage projects would be an advantage. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Report writing skills.
