LOCATION: Glasgow, but flexible
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £67,000 - £81,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Editor, Commissioning & Original Journalism will lead our specialist teams and is responsible for delivering our highest impact story telling. You will manage our team of correspondents who cover Health, Social and Home Affairs, Education, The Economy, Climate Change, Arts & Entertainment as well as Sports News and Transport. You will also manage our commissioning & impact team and will run our production spend in line with our growth strategy.
Reporting to the Head of News & Current Affairs, you will play a key role in promoting a culture of journalistic excellence and diverse perspectives.

* Proven record in generating original journalism
* Significant delivery of strategic objectives
* Management of budgets
