Responsibilities
* Own the day‑to‑day running of the store by leading the team on your shift.
* Motivate, coach and support your team to deliver great service and efficient operations.
* Work hands‑on on the shop floor and tills, handling transactions on the post office counter, supporting daily operations and setting the pace for a team of Customer Team Members.
* Support store performance through merchandising, stock accuracy and HR processes.
* Champion Co‑op through community engagement and membership growth.
* As a Customer Team Member at Co‑op, you’ll be part of a business that’s truly different. There’s lots to do in this role— from giving our customers a great in‑store experience to preparing bakery products and promoting our membership offer, every day is different.
As a Customer Team Leader, you’ll help maintain our high standards while supporting your store colleagues to be their best. You’ll assist the Store Manager and make sure your store is always safe. You’ll also take pride in keeping the store well‑stocked and looking great, leading by example and doing the right thing.
Qualifications
* Passion for people and leadership.
* The ability to work flexibly and lead by example.
* Skills in retail, merchandising or team management (experience not essential).
Working pattern: Sunday and Friday, with flexibility across the week including at least 2 evening shifts and 1 weekend shift. We’re happy to discuss additional availability further at interview. Duties will include working on our Post Office Counters.
You must be aged 18+ to authorise age‑related sales.
