An exciting opportunity has arisen within Children's Outpatients, a busy department at The James Cook University Hospital to employ a Clinical Support Worker (CSW). The role is to support the MDT in providing direct patient care to children and young people.
Band 2 requirements - willingness to undertake all relevant training and qualifications if wishing to develop into a band 3 role.
Band 3 requirements - Numeracy and Literacy Level 2 or GCSE equivalent (A-C/ 4-9)

- We care for children and young people from birth until 18 years who require care as an outpatient. We facilitate clinics from numerous specialities where a family centred approach to care is essential.
The role involves chaperoning patients during medical consultations, collecting and preparing case notes, undertaking health development measurements (weight, height, BP, ECG), collecting specimens, performing and assisting with venepuncture, monitoring stock levels, preparation and maintenance of clinic rooms and areas, general admin duties such as answering telephone call, emails and making appointments.

Experience in health care is preferred, with experience working with children and young people desirable.
