Key Responsibilities
The person appointed would report to the Dean of HE and be responsible for assisting the Dean in providing effective leadership and management of the College’s HE academic provision and development. The Assistant Dean may be expected to deputise for the Dean as required and to support the Dean outside of the normal term time by agreement.
Responsibilities
* To act as an Assistant Dean (Academic) for all Higher Education Programmes at Carmel
* To support the Dean in setting the strategic direction for HE
* To play a key role in reporting the academic progress and outcomes of HE programmes to College Management Team, Governors, and University Quality Teams
* To support and deputise for the Dean in leading and managing the College’s HE Academic Team
* In conjunction with the Dean, to represent the College on relevant University panels, committees, and groups, or act as Principal’s delegate at University meetings
* Under the Dean’s direction, to support the development of the HE curriculum and improve the quality of learning, teaching, and assessment
* To assist the Dean in promoting continuous improvement of HE provisions
Salary Information
£32,178 to £49,725 per annum, depending on experience, plus an additional allowance of £3,908 to £5,210 per annum
