Job Summary Al Farid Restaurant is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Manager to join our team.

Duties
* Assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring smooth functioning of the restaurant or establishment.
* Supervise and train staff members, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas.
* Participate in food preparation and cooking as needed, demonstrating culinary expertise.
* Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and conducting regular stock checks.
* Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism, ensuring customer satisfaction at all times.
* Collaborate with the management team to develop menus and special promotions that enhance guest experience.
* Support financial management by assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
* Strong culinary skills with experience in food preparation, cooking, and food production.
* Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
* Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team management and development.
* Previous experience in kitchen environments or barista roles is advantageous.
* Exceptional communication skills with a customer-oriented approach.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.

* Exeter EX1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
* Restaurant management: 2 years (preferred)
