Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We're on the lookout for a passionate Quality Engineer to become a vital part of our KierBAM Joint Venture team at the Plymouth – Devonport Royal Dockyard.
Location & Hours
Location: Plymouth – Devonport Royal Dockyard
Hours: 42.5 hours per week

Security Clearance
Due to the sensitive nature of the site, BPSS security clearance is required. This process can take up to 8 weeks. To be eligible, candidates must:
* Hold a passport from a NATO or MISWG member country
* Have resided in the UK for the past 5 years
Your Role
As a Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our projects meet the highest quality standards. You’ll collaborate closely with our project teams to implement quality assurance and control processes. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
* Developing and executing inspection and testing procedures to maintain quality compliance
* Conducting root cause analysis and supporting problem-solving activities
* Monitoring construction processes and reviewing documentation to verify compliance with specifications
* Supporting audits, quality system implementations, and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes
* Collecting and analyzing quality data to identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if:
* You have relevant qualifications and industry experience, particularly with ISO standards
* You possess experience in a similar role, ideally within the nuclear or defense sectors
* You hold a CSCS Green Labourer card and have a solid understanding of quality principles, inspection methods, and testing
* You’re familiar with quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, and root cause analysis, along with standards like ISO 9001
* You have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, along with basic statistical and data analysis abilities
