Worthing /Up to £36,500 per year (including sleep-ins) /Full-Time, 2 Days On / 3 Days Off Rolling Rota

We re excited to offer a unique opportunity to join a brand-new children s home in Worthing, opening in August. This home is part of a mission-driven organisation committed to transforming the experience of children in care. Your Role

As a Residential Children s Support Worker, you ll play a key role in supporting and empowering young people who have experienced trauma. You ll contribute to every aspect of their care and development in a professional, compassionate, and consistent way.


Key Responsibilities:

* Support the emotional, physical, and educational development of young people.
* Contribute to and implement individual care plans and risk assessments.
* Maintain high standards in residential care as expected by Ofsted.
* Build positive, trusting relationships with children, families, and professionals.
* Serve as a consistent, positive role model and mentor.
* Manage challenging behaviour and support children in crisis with a calm, trauma-informed approach.
* Encourage the development of independence, life skills, and social integration.
* Maintain detailed, accurate records and follow procedures and risk assessments.


What We're Looking For

* A genuine passion for supporting children with complex needs and trauma backgrounds.
* Resilience, patience, and commitment to never giving up on a child.
* Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Experience in children s residential care is welcomed but not essential. We value a wide range of life experiences and transferable skills, including hobbies or talents that can positively engage young people.


Shift Pattern & Hours

* 5-week rolling rota: 2 days on, 3 days off
* Shifts: 10:00 AM 11:00 PM (followed by a sleep-in)
* Flexibility to cover early or late shifts between 7:30 AM and 10:30 PM
* Includes weekend work as part of the rota
