Overview
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
Shift pattern: Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 2:00pm. Post is permanent. Initial base will be Inverclyde Royal Hospital. This post is a NHSGGC wide post and can be moved to any location.
Purpose: To support effective clinical care by providing an efficient Health Records service to patients in a ward environment. To ensure patients\' health records are administered and processed accurately and remain confidential.
Responsibilities
* Provide cover in multiple wards as required.
* Reception of patients, answering telephone, appointment booking and maintaining demographic information on the patient management system.
Qualifications
* Previous clerical/reception experience and experience of working with the general public in a customer service environment.
* Good organisational, keyboard and communication skills; proficient in the use of computer systems.
