Location: On-site at Harpenden, Herefordshire.
Contract: Permanent, full-time position. Flexible and part-time hours may be available—just let us know!
Your Responsibilities
As our Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting various projects within the Thames Water framework. Your expertise will guide the technical, organizational, and supervisory aspects of construction projects. Here’s what your day-to-day will look like:
* Act as the main technical adviser on-site for subcontractors, craftspeople, and operatives, ensuring accurate setting out, leveling, and surveying.
* Check plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy, ensuring all materials and work performed meet specifications.
* Negotiate prices for materials and propose cost-effective solutions for projects.
* Manage and interpret contract documents provided by clients or designers.
* Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and local authorities to ensure compliance with regulations.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you have:
* Experience in a civil engineering or construction environment, particularly in the Water sector.
* Strong consultative and collaborative skills, with excellent written and oral communication abilities.
* Organizational skills and a methodical approach to your work.
* A full UK Driving Licence.
