We have an exciting opportunity at Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS). This is one of three Strategic Business Manager posts that all have shared objectives and accountability for delivering the directorate's core business across our operational, tactical and strategic functions as part of an integrated senior leadership team, and for delivering the FBI 5-year Strategy.
The Strategic Business Manager (Operational Delivery) leads on the financial elements of FBI and is a highly complex role requiring the post holder to keep abreast of a wide range of national and local NHS statutory frameworks for reporting, compliance and standards, and for ensuring these are operated and adhered to, and that products are high quality and delivered in a timely manner.
The post holder is responsible to act as a role model for leadership, living and promoting the LCHS Way. It is an expectation that this role will support and encourage others to reach their full potential by creating an environment of empowerment through adopting a culture of 'freedom coupled with accountability'.
Main duties of the job
The Strategic Business Manager - Operational Delivery will lead for the trust on the effective and efficient operational management of the Finance Directorate, ensuring delivery of high-quality operational business services and effective use of the resources available. The role requires a fully qualified accountant and the individual will be responsible for providing strong capable leadership and day-today direction of the operational finance delivery function, and for supporting colleagues across the organisation and the wider health and care system.
The postholder will provide leadership to the Finance directorate as part of an integrated senior leadership team with shared objectives and accountability for delivery of the directorate's core business and for delivery of the FBI strategy and will ensure that the Trust is able to respond effectively to the operational needs of the organisation in the context of a changing Lincolnshire health system (ICS) and the wider health and care environment.
This post is part of the integrated senior leadership team and will work across the FBI Business Partnering and Strategic Development functions.
