Job Description
* Lead the design and engineering of electrical systems for diverse applications, including grid-scale installations, commercial and industrial facilities, and renewable energy assets.
* Conduct feasibility studies, technical assessments, and independent specialist reviews, ensuring technical excellence throughout all project stages.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including engineers, project managers, and technicians—to ensure smooth integration of new systems into existing infrastructure.
* Perform system modelling, simulation, and optimisation to maximise energy efficiency and performance of power generation and storage systems.
* Develop and implement robust control and protection strategies, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with regulatory standards.
* Support project development and delivery, including site assessments, data analysis, and preparation of technical documentation, proposals, and client reports.
The ideal Senior Electrical Project Engineer will demonstrate:
* A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
* Professional registration (e.g., Chartered Engineer status) or a clear pathway towards achieving it.
* Proven experience in the design and implementation of power generation or renewable energy systems.
* Working knowledge of process control and SCADA systems.
* Strong understanding of grid connection and integration requirements, power system dynamics, and industry standards (e.g. IEC, ENA, BS7671).
