We're looking for a Talent Acquisition Officer to join our friendly, fast-paced recruitment team. You'll be responsible for hiring brilliant people across our nurseries and central office - from early years educators to support staff - helping us deliver on our mission to change the world one child at a time.
This is a delivery-led role where you'll manage vacancies, build trusted relationships with hiring managers, and create a candidate experience that reflects our values. You'll be proactive, creative and resilient - someone who knows how to find great talent and help it grow. You'll enjoy working in a high performing team and want to keep evolving how we do things.
What You'll Be Doing…
Own recruitment across your area - from vacancy approval to accept
Build strong relationships with hiring managers and act as a trusted recruitment partner
Proactively source candidates using job boards, social media, referrals and outreach
Partner with colleges, job centres and community organisations to attract talent
Represent LEYF at careers fairs and events
Ensure we have compelling job adverts that reflect our mission and values
Screen and shortlist candidates, support interviews and ensure fair, robust decisions
Maintain talent pools and support future hiring needs
Use our ATS to manage vacancies and keep everything accurate and up to date
Monitor recruitment metrics and suggest improvements
Collaborate with our Recruitment Marketing team and wider colleagues
Support hiring managers to be confident, inclusive assessors
Contribute to a culture of learning, inclusion, fun and excellence
Usually, our TA Officers work 2+ days on site (office, nursery or careers event) and hold 15-20 vacancies across their patch. It can vary.

What information do we collect from you?

We are using Contract as our legal basis for processing, which means we can use your details and information so that we may assess your suitability for employment with us, as well as carry out our statistical analysis of recruitment.
Why do we collect this information and who do we share it with?

Will be held on our computer systems and may be downloaded by us

Will be made available to us and our processors
Will be used for communication with you regarding the vacancy

We will store your application data for 13 months after the vacancy has closed. After this period, it will be fully anonymised.
We use some automated screening tools as part of this application process. The answers you provide to one or more of the questions (excluding any special categories/equal opportunity questions) may result in your application being automatically declined. This technology is used to help us manage the high volume of applications we receive and can assure applicants the same outcome would occur if we manually reviewed your application. The reason for the decline will be made available to you in your candidate account.
How can I access the information you hold about me? Your rights
We are dedicated to providing reasonable access to visitors who wish to review the personal information retained when they apply via our website site and correct any inaccuracies it may contain. In such a case, we will not process more personal data than is required under the circumstances.
If you are not satisfied by our actions, you can seek recourse through our internal complaints procedure. If you remain dissatisfied, you have the right to refer the matter to the Information Commissioner ) or seek recourse through the courts.
