T he newly established School of Law and Society is looking to add a Lecturer (Academic) in Criminology and Criminal Justice to its teaching team to strengthen its teaching of criminology at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. Successful applicants will play a large role in delivering and further developing of our suite of criminology degrees. We particularly invite applicants who would be able to contribute to the leadership and teaching of at least one of the following subject areas : cyber crime, policing, prisons, and comparative criminology. The su ccessful applicant w ill also be expected to contribute to the teach ing of core research method units across our social science degree programmes, we have a particular interest in applicants who can assist with the delivering of quantitative research methods. Additionally, we anticipate that any successful candidate will be able to contribute to the scoping and development of future applied criminology provi sion. The School of Law and Society also has a flourishing research and knowledge exchange culture in criminology centred around the Centre for Seldom Heard Voices which bring s together a wide range of interdisciplinary scholars from across the university to consider issues impacting Marginalisation and Social Inclusion, Conflict, Identities and Transformation and Social Work and Social Practice.
