This role is only open to current University of Leeds undergraduate students studying in one of the following academic areas: Medicine, Dentistry, Adult Nursing, Dental Hygiene and Therapy, Gateway to Medicine, Medical Ultrasound, Mental Health Nursing, Midwifery, Psychology and Social Work.
This role will be based on the university campus. We are open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

The Educational Engagement Team works with students aged 11-19 on inspirational, fun and interactive outreach activities to raise awareness of, and aspirations towards higher education. Our events and projects are designed to give students a greater insight into higher education, making university-level study accessible and desirable to school and college students from groups who are under-represented at university.
As an Educational Engagement Student Ambassador, you will work as part of a highly motivated, professional team to deliver presentations and facilitate workshops about: the benefits of higher education; your degree specialism; and your experience of studying at the University. These events are delivered, either in person at schools/colleges, on campus or online. Further duties include hosting taster events, higher education experience days, campus tours, off campus events with partner organisations and supporting residential events, including summer schools.

* Medicine (MBChB) (4 vacancies)

* Medical Ultrasound (3 vacancies)
* Midwifery (3 vacancies)
* Psychology (4 vacancies)
Please note that shortlisting decisions may be informed by the amount of interest in a particular subject area to ensure that we fill all available vacancies.
You will be required to act as a positive ambassador for the University and higher education. You will work with young people from a range of backgrounds, in varying audience sizes, so you should possess strong communication and presentation skills.
Work in this post is available throughout the academic year. Hours are designed to be flexible around your studies. The number of hours you work is dependent on your existing academic commitments and the activity requests we receive from schools and colleges.
