With in-house legal and accounting teams, strong funding lines, and a proven track record in property investment, they are now launching a new bridging finance business to expand into specialist lending.
They combine financial strength, deep property expertise, and long-term thinking. Capital is ready. Infrastructure support is in place. What they need is the right Managing Director to lead the charge.
About the Role – Managing Director
This market-facing leadership role is responsible for creating, launching, and scaling a UK bridging finance platform. Working closely with the founders and an experienced advisor, you will build the business from the ground up, defining strategy, proposition, pricing, credit appetite, and operational structure.
You will drive originations across the UK, recruit and lead the initial team, implement underwriting and governance frameworks, and establish the lender’s brand and reputation within the broker and professional community.

Key Responsibilities
* Launch and scale a new bridging finance lender with full P&L responsibility.
* Build and manage strong introducer, broker, and professional networks to generate high-quality deal flow.
* Design lending products, pricing models, and credit policy.
* Recruit, mentor, and grow a high-performing team.
* Implement robust underwriting, operations, and governance processes.
* Represent the business at industry events and within the specialist finance market.
* Work directly with the board to shape long-term growth strategy.
Skills & Experience
* 10+ years’ experience in UK real estate finance, ideally bridging or short-term lending.
* Proven experience launching, building, or leading a lending platform or division.
* Strong broker network with demonstrable origination success.
* Commercially astute with strategic vision and hands-on capability.
* Experienced leader able to build, motivate, and scale teams.
* Credible, decisive, delivery-focused, and comfortable operating at board level.
