St Gemma’s Hospice is recruiting a part time Deputy Shop Manager to support our thriving Harehills charity shop. This is a fast paced, hands on role where you’ll work closely with the Shop Manager to drive sales, support leading a team of dedicated volunteers, and help create an inspiring shopping experience from ever changing donated stock. No two days are the same, and every day helps fund vital hospice care across Leeds.
You’ll play a key role in maximising shop performance, maintaining high visual merchandising standards and ensuring excellent customer service. You’ll lead by example on the shop floor, stepping up to take responsibility in the Shop Manager’s absence. It’s challenging, dynamic and hugely rewarding.
We’re looking for someone who:
* Has retail supervisory or management experience
* Is commercially aware and target driven, motivated by achieving strong sales and maximising Gift Aid income
* Is confident supporting and motivating teams of staff and volunteers
* Thrives in a fast paced, hands on and constantly changing retail environment
* Is passionate about making a positive impact in their community
Charity retail and volunteer management experience is welcome but not essential. A positive attitude, initiative and a willingness to learn matter most.
