Overview
Priory Hospital Roehampton is looking to recruit a Deputy Ward Manager to join the team. This is a full time 37.5 hours role. Priory Hospital Roehampton, a registered hospital in London, is a welcoming and highly respected rehab facility, offering expert mental health and addiction treatment.
We support people facing a wide range of mental health challenges, providing specialist care for depression, anxiety and addictions. Our team offers tailored treatment for substance addictions, including alcohol, cocaine and heroin, as well as behavioural addictions like gambling. We also provide outpatient support for adults with eating disorders.
For young people, we have a dedicated young people's mental health inpatient service across two specialist wards - Richmond Court and Kingston Court - where we provide expert care in a supportive environment. We also offer private autism assessments for children.
Responsibilities
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As Deputy Ward Manager, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.
* Works as Senior Nurse in a Ward or equivalent area ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, their families and visitors.
* Apply relevant policies and statutory requirements within the ward and hospital framework of governance and communicates requirements to the wider team.
* Ensures that risk is assessed and managed across the immediate and wider working environment and that statutory requirements are met.
* Respects and applies the requirements of diversity and inclusion, promoting and role modelling these across the team.

The ideal candidate will have active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, meeting the requirements of revalidation, and will be a trained assessor or supervisor with clinical supervision experience. They will show evidence of continued professional development with a commitment to maintaining and advancing both clinical and leadership skills. Good computer skills are essential. The candidate will have at least 18 months to 2 years\' post-registration experience and demonstrable expertise within a clinical speciality.
