We are seeking a Chartered Energy Engineer with a background in energy infrastructure who has evolved into a commercially astute leader — combining hands-on renewable energy project delivery with strong financial modelling and investment analysis capability. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, commercial strategy, and executive decision-making across a 940MW renewable energy portfolio. You will work directly alongside C-suite stakeholders, supporting four plants currently in construction and contributing to major decarbonisation investment decisions. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role requiring long hours, full office presence, and the ability to operate at executive level. We are particularly interested in engineers who have transitioned into commercial finance or investment-focused roles and want to deepen their strategic influence The Ideal Profile Chartered Energy Engineer (CEng or equivalent) - This is ideal for a Chartered Engineer looking to step beyond project delivery and into strategic commercial leadership within a scaling renewable energy platform. Background in anaerobic digestion, biogas, waste-to-energy or green fuels Experience across design, construction, commissioning (ideally O&M exposure) Strong Excel-based financial modelling capability DCF, NPV, IRR, CAPEX/OPEX, LCOX analysis Investment case development & techno-economic evaluation Experience reviewing EPC contracts, construction budgets & engineering studies Ability to translate complex technical information into commercially focused board-level reporting The Role Commercial oversight across multiple renewable infrastructure projects Budget ownership across construction-stage assets Executive reporting and investment memo preparation Risk, contingency and delivery schedule analysis Translating engineering data into strategic commercial insights Salary DOE : £100,000 – £130,000 Strategic Growth Opportunity This is a fully office-based position (5 days per week in London) The role regularly requires long hours due to the scale, pace and senior exposure of the role, working alongside C-suite stakeholders, to support decision making
