Job Duties

About the Position:

The Virginia State Police (VSP) is seeking to hire an Office Services Assistant in our Criminal Justice Information Services Division at our Administrative Headquarters in North Chesterfield, Virginia. The successful candidate will review and screen incoming criminal fingerprint cards submitted to Central Criminal Records Exchange (CCRE)
to ensure accuracy of arrest data and completeness. Collates related fingerprint submissions and monitors
processing timelines to ensure timely processing into proper systems. Receives and records telephone messages and fax requests. Assist with opening, sorting and delivering incoming and outgoing mail.

Minimum Qualifications

Considerable knowledge of office practices and procedures. Ability to read with understanding, write clearly, and demonstrate good cognitive skills while possessing the ability to make effective decisions. Efficiency to operate desktop computers and Microsoft Office applications

Additional Considerations

•Experience working in office environment preferred.
•Experience working in a public safety environment and with sensitive and confidential information preferred.
