As an IT Infrastructure Apprentice, you will support IT services across regional Truck & Bus Centres and offices, managing technical administration and supporting hardware installation and maintenance. You will work closely with a team of 4 across 18 sites, gaining practical experience.
On-the-job training and mentorship will be provided to develop your skills and help you achieve a degree-level apprenticeship qualification.
What you'll do:
* Respond to user enquiries and provide technical assistance, troubleshooting hardware and software issues both in person and remotely.
* Assist in installing and configuring hardware, software, and networking equipment under guidance.
* Help develop and maintain documentation such as system configurations and user manuals.
* Participate in projects like Windows 11 migration and WiFi network upgrades across 18 sites.
* Stay updated with emerging technologies to recommend improvements.
* Manage technical administration for new starters and leavers in IT systems.

Who are you?
You should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, advanced Microsoft 365 knowledge (Excel is advantageous), and effective communication, numerical, and project management skills. You need:
* A driver’s license.
* GCSE or A-level qualifications; additional IT certifications are advantageous (not degree level).
* A strong interest in IT, computers, and networking.
* Basic understanding of hardware, operating systems, and common software.
* Familiarity with networking concepts like TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and wireless tech.
* Commitment to confidentiality and data security.
* Knowledge of IT environments and networked services.
