Job Summary The GP will manage a varied caseload, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care within a primary care setting. Responsibilities include consultations, home visits, prescribing, and contributing to the overall clinical and operational functioning of the practice. Key Responsibilities Clinical Duties: Conduct in person, telephone and online consultations, home visits, and health assessments. Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions.
Prescribe in line with the practice formulary; issue repeat and acute prescriptions. Maintain accurate, timely clinical records. Develop care plans, provide health education, and refer patients when necessary. Practice Involvement: Participate in audits, significant event analyses, and quality improvement.
Contribute to the maintenance of electronic health records. Engage in team meetings, clinical governance, and training events. Compliance & Confidentiality: Adhere to practice policies on confidentiality, data protection, safeguarding, and prescribing. Handle patient and practice information with strict confidentiality.
Health & Safety / Infection Control: Maintain a clean, safe working environment. Follow infection control policies and lead by example in safe practice. Use PPE appropriately and train others when needed. Equality & Diversity: Respect the rights, beliefs, and privacy of patients and colleagues.
